It's been a slow year for Webbed Hand, for various reasons, but things are picking up again.

After many delays, we are finally releasing another mixed-media album by Marco Lucchi, called
Some Perfect Curtains. This collection of ten audio tracks, four videos, and a poem, are ready to
download at http://www.archive.org/details/wh075

Akashic Crow's Nest is a project of C.P. McDill's that has gotten an unexpected amount of attention
in 2006. ACN's sounds are composed as abstract pictures that are fed into a computer program which
reads them to generate unique soundscapes. Based on last.fm's scrobbling statistics (a very useful way to
gauge what people are playing on their computer media players), ACN is getting nearly twice as popular
as Djinnestan. Who'd have thought?
Now in these closing days of 2006, Akashic Crow's Nest releases another contribution to the Rain
series of ambient CD-length albums: http://www.archive.org/details/wh076
And another ACN album is in the works and may be released in Jan '07.

Djinnestan is C.P. McDill's illustrative dark ambient project. Just completed is its 7th release, Rain 3. Played
at low volume, this is a nice mood piece for setting the atmosphere for sleep or meditation. Here is the link:

New works by Djinnestan and Saluki Regicide are being prepared, and if all goes well, they'll be released
before the end of Winter.

Oh, and by the way, I sure do miss the old layout of the netlabels page, where they used to show the latest releases. That was much more interesting than "batting averages"
